Route
Day 1, Arrival in Bregenz

West parking (€10 per day on-site, subject to availability) or parking garage at the Pfänderbahn (€160 for 8 days, reservation required at booking). Bike handover (if booked) at the Donau Touristik Info Point.

Day 2, Arbon (39 km)

Through the Altenrhein nature reserve to the Swiss shore and over Rorschach to your destination.

Day 3, Gailingen/Rielasingen (64 km)

Along the way, pass beautiful parks and (free) lakeside beaches; cycle along Lake Untersee to your destination.

Day 4, Schaffhausen and Rhine Falls (30/50 km)

Visit the watchmaking town (Munot Fortress) and Europe’s largest waterfall; Rhine Falls boat trip. Return; overnight stay as the previous night.

Day 5, Constance/Kreuzlingen (67 km)

Cycle across the Höri Peninsula to Radolfzell. Continue to Reichenau Island for a tour of the Imperial Monastery before heading to the council city.

Day 6, Friedrichshafen (33 km cycling, 15 min ferry)

In the morning, time for an individual visit to Mainau Island (optional, €22 extra); then take the ferry to Konstanz/Staad, cross to Meersburg, and cycle along the lake via Immenstaad to Friedrichshafen.

Day 7, Bregenz (53 km)

Cycle along the lake to the Argen Estuary nature reserve (optional detour to Laimnau) and return to Lindau before heading back to the festival town of Bregenz.

Day 8, Departure

After breakfast or optional extra nights.
