Quality of the cycle path
Individual arrival in Hann. Münden, the historic half-timbered town where the Fulda and Werra rivers merge to form the Weser. After receiving your travel documents, rental bikes will be provided if booked. Afterwards, enjoy a first stroll through the picturesque old town with its many beautifully preserved timber-framed buildings. A public parking garage is available for your car at a cost of approximately €30 per day, payable locally. This is the perfect place to begin your cycling holiday along the Weser.

Day 2, Bad Karlshafen (45 km)Before setting off, a visit to the impressive Orangery is well worthwhile. You then follow the Fulda Cycle Route towards Hann. Münden, where the Weser begins. Continue along the river through a charming landscape, passing the historic Bursfelde Abbey, one of the region’s most significant monastic sites. Your destination is Bad Karlshafen, an attractive Huguenot town with a distinctive Baroque layout and a fascinating history.

Day 3, Bodenwerder (54 km)Continue along the Weser Cycle Route, first reaching Beverungen, beautifully situated on the riverbank. The route then leads to Höxter, home to a charming historic centre and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Corvey Castle, one of the cultural highlights of the region. Via Holzminden, you cycle through a scenic and romantic river valley shaped by winding bends and impressive views. The varied landscape accompanies you to Bodenwerder, idyllically located on the banks of the Weser.
Active option: Cycle along the 5-star Diemel Cycle Route towards Trendelburg and back to the Weser (+20 km total).

Day 4, Hameln (41 km)Today's route offers an excellent combination of nature and culture. Cycle through the beautiful Weser countryside and take the opportunity to visit Hämelschenburg Castle, one of the finest examples of Weser Renaissance architecture. Continue to Hameln, the famous Pied Piper town, known for its well-preserved old town, historic buildings and lively atmosphere. A rewarding day full of cultural highlights and memorable impressions awaits.
Active option: Additional ride to Bad Pyrmont with its elegant spa gardens (+19 km).

Day 5, Return TransferAfter breakfast, your cycling holiday along the Weser comes to an end. Return to Hann. Münden by train. The journey is made using a scheduled rail connection, partly by ICE high-speed train. Transport of your own bicycle is available for an additional charge from Wednesday to Monday. Bicycles must be handed in by 5:00 p.m. on the previous day and will be delivered to your arrival hotel in Hann. Münden by approximately 2:00 p.m..
