Individual arrival in Schnetzenhausen near Friedrichshafen. Upon arrival, free unattended parking is available at the hotel. If you have booked a rental bike, it will already be waiting for you at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day as you wish, exploring the Lake Constance region or relaxing before the cycling stages ahead. The peaceful location of your starting point provides ideal conditions for a pleasant start to your cycling holiday.
Monday, Island Town of Lindau (54 km)Your first cycling tour takes you along the Lake Constance Cycle Route towards Wasserburg. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the lake and surrounding countryside. Continue to the romantic island town of Lindau, with its historic old town, narrow streets and famous harbour. Take your time to explore at your own pace before cycling back to the hotel along the same route. This stage combines scenic lakeside stretches with cultural highlights on the Bavarian shores of Lake Constance.
Tuesday, Constance and Mainau Flower Island (53 km by bike, 30 minutes by ferry)First, cycle along Lake Constance to Meersburg, where you take the ferry across to Constance. Explore the historic town, famous for the Council of Constance, at your own pace or follow the Lake Constance Cycle Route directly to the famous Mainau Flower Island. Admission to the island is available locally for approx. € 29 per person. Afterwards, continue cycling to Wallhausen and take the ferry to Überlingen. The route then leads past the Baroque Birnau pilgrimage church before returning to your hotel.
Wednesday, Eriskircher Ried Nature Reserve and Argen Estuary (46 km)Today, follow the lakeshore to Langenargen. Passing through the scenic Argen estuary, you reach Gießen Water Castle, beautifully situated in the surrounding countryside. The route then leads back towards Lake Constance. Cycle through the protected Eriskircher Ried Nature Reserve along varied paths, passing valuable wetlands and areas rich in wildlife. The combination of lakeside scenery, river landscapes and protected natural habitats makes this stage particularly diverse.
Thursday, Bodman-Ludwigshafen (57 km by bike, 43 minutes by train)In the morning, take the train to Ludwigshafen. From here, start your cycling tour through the unique Bodenseeufer Nature Reserve, with its beautiful floodplain landscapes. Continue along the Stockacher Ach river to Bodman on the western shores of Lake Constance. Afterwards, cycle via Sipplingen and picturesque Meersburg back to your hotel. This stage combines impressive natural scenery with charming towns along Lake Überlingen, offering a variety of memorable impressions of the Lake Constance region.
Friday, End of Cycling HolidayYour cycling holiday at Lake Constance ends after breakfast. Individual departure. If time permits, enjoy a final stroll along the lake or extend your stay individually before beginning your journey home.
