Route
Day 1, Arrival in St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgangsee

Free parking available at the hotel.

Day 2, Hallstatt (60 km cycling, 75 minutes by boat, 20 minutes by train, 7 minutes by ferry)

Your rental bike (if booked) will be ready for you at the hotel. Take the scheduled boat to Strobl (approximately every 2 hours), then cycle via Bad Goisern to Lake Hallstatt. Follow the eastern lakeside path to the ferry terminal and cross by ferry to Hallstatt for an individual visit. Return by train (approximately hourly service) to Bad Ischl, then cycle back to the hotel.

Day 3, Lake Wolfgangsee (32 km cycling, 4 minutes by ferry)

Flat ride via Abersee and Strobl to St. Wolfgang (Pacher Altarpiece, Gothic church) and on to Ried. Short walk to the nearby pilgrimage chapel. Return by ferry to Abersee, then cycle back to the hotel.

Day 4, Mondsee (39 km cycling/255 m ascent)

Cycle via Scharfling (2 × approximately 3 km on regional road) to the Mondsee Cycle Path. Via St. Lorenz to the monastery town of Mondsee (Basilica, baroque townscape). Depending on fitness, continue to Lake Irrsee (+18 km there and back). Continue along the Mondsee Cycle Path via Au, past Kreuzstein, and return to the hotel.

Day 5, Bad Ischl (52 km cycling)

Ride along the lake via Strobl to the former Imperial Summer Residence of Bad Ischl, including admission to the Kaiserpark and Marmorschlössl.

Day 6, Salzburg (46 km cycling/178 m ascent, 45 minutes by bus)

(Operated Thursdays only, from May 21st to October 8th)
Cycle via Scharfling (as on Day 4) to Thalgau and Eugendorf, then along the route of the former Ischl Railway to Salzburg. Leave your bike at the city outskirts (delivery back to the hotel by Friday at 11:00 a.m.) and return by scheduled bus (hourly service) directly to the hotel.
