Dietfurt

Dietfurt an der Altmühl is located directly on the Altmühltal cycle path, about 10 kilometers downstream from Beilngries and 53 kilometers upstream from Kelheim at the mouth of the Altmühl into the Danube.

Dietfurt also connects to the Five Rivers Cycle Path towards Bamberg and the Main-Danube Canal Cycle Path.The city, located in the Altmühltal Nature Park, is also a state-approved resort.

About one and a half kilometers outside the city center is the Dietfurt ship pier on the Main-Danube Canal in the immediate vicinity of the Altmühl-Panoramaweg and one of the numerous stations of the Altmühl Vale archaeological park.
