Moritzburg

Moritzburg is a municipality in Saxony and is best known for its hunting lodge and Baroque castle, as well as being the place where Käthe Kollwitz died. The municipality is part of the Lusatian Plateau and the Meissen syenite-granite massif.

A guided tour of the lodge offers secret insights and allows you to explore the hidden areas “from the cellar to the roof.” Near the Moritzburg lighthouse is the Fasanenschlösschen, which formerly served as the summer residence of Elector Friedrich August III.
